The annual Rollywood International Film Carnival will celebrate its first year in February 2020,to be held in Trinidad and Tobago.
In commemoration of 'The International Decade for People of African Descent', 2015–2024, was proclaimed by the UN General Assembly in a Resolution (68/237) adopted on 23 December 2013.
The theme of the International Decade is "People of African descent: recognition, justice and development, is all-encompassing and fully inclusive of all diverse people. We are grateful for this opportunity, to celebrate our universal diversity, and the success of filmmakers from all ethnicity, heritage and cultures from around the planet, will converge in Trinidad and Tobago, at the first edition of the Rollywood International Film Carnival to be held annually. You are invited to be a part of this momentous occasion.
The Film Carnival is founded by Festival Director, Executive Producer and Location Manager - Candice Lela Rolingson of Trinidad and Tobago. Candice has over twenty years experience in the creative industry, and has worked on many international foreign films and commercial projects, filmed on location in the Caribbean region, she was a location scout on 'Home Again', Associate Producer on 'Pendulum' and the creator of the multi award winning 'Positive Film Series'.
